Tournament Rules
TOP
All players
will adhere to the basic tournament rules:
V.P.H.Q
Tournament Rules
1st Round
Deadline:- Saturday 12th February.
2nd Round Deadline:- Saturday 19th February.
3rd Round Deadline:- Saturday 26th February.
The Lowest ranked player has the choice as to who breaks
first, then breaks
to follow will be alternate.
The easy way to remember is that you are either breaking on
odd or
even frames.
If you want to pass the break over you press Ctrl + T.
Snooker must be played in an honest and fair way. To do this
you must
adhere to the spirit of the game and play in a manner that earns you
the respect of others.
For example:- in a snooker, you must be seen to make a
valid attempt
to escape a snooker and not play a negative roll out shot, making no
attempt whatsoever to
escape and seek to gain an advantage.
All genuine snooker players know what I mean by saying this.
There is also a break off shot rule:- You must not play a
roll up shot off the
back cushion into the reds from the break off. You must break off by hitting the
reds on
the way up the table.
There are no jump shots in snooker. You will not play jump
shots at any time
in snooker in order to hit the ball on.
If you do hit the ball on first, then the cue-ball jumps over
another ball, it shall
be deemed a legal shot as long as the cue-ball finishes on the bed of the table.
Mouse farts are
at the discretion of the player as to whether you give the shot
back to your
opponent, you make the choice. Again use Ctrl + T.
In game conduct will be
monitored. If you have a complaint about an opponent
and their behaviour in
game, I would ask you to take a screenshot and mail it to
me. (Again at
9ball@vphqtournaments.com)
